The US bottled water industry uses 50 billion barrels of oil per year.  Bottled water costs 1,000 times more than tap water.  There are fewer standards for regulating the quality of bottled water than for tap water.

Our mission is to inform, inspire, encourage and support the residents of our community as we consider implementing a Transition Initiative.

The Transition Steering Group will focus on raising awareness regarding the issues of peak oil, climate change and economic instability.   Our goal is to awaken the creative genius of the community for the purpose of creating and implementing a plan to become resilient and localized in food, energy, news media, health care, emergency services, economy, education, the arts and transportation.
